I love you, I love you, my friend.

.

She takes an iconic stance,
and she's not afraid to dance
with you in the street
to a leopard - skin beat,
full of delicacy and rage,
'cause her heart was in a cage,
but the sky just let it out.

It's blue kisses from God -
and the sun likes to nod
in time to her beat.
Suicide flowers at her feet,
sparkling at everyone she meets.

She lays down inside,
on her breath takes a ride,
and lets her Higher - conscious mind
show her a good time.
She falls into emptiness,
and her soul's sweet caress
clears the fragments and shards of time,
leaving pain and sadness far behind.

She learned how to detonate
the pain - bombs of her father's rape
and landmines of emptiness
he left with a sick caress.

Her angel friends showed her. -
In meetings and bookstores they sold her
keys to erasure of pain.
It took her awhile to attain,
but each day she got better
when she wrote herself a letter
that said:
"I love you, I love you, my friend."

One response to “I love you, I love you, my friend.”
